Staff
Civil Air Patrol has a chain of command that extends to the national level. The staff of the 184th are volunteers who have been selcted by their superiors to ensure that the three missions are accomplished.
National Commander
Major General Amy Courter
Maj Gen Courter has been the National Commander since August 2007. Prior to assuming this role she was appointed as the National Vice Commander. She has served on the CAP Professional Development Committee and as commander of the Michigan Wing and senior advisor to the CAP National Cadet Advisory Council.
Great Lakes Region Commander
Colonel Charles Carr
Col Carr, most recently the Ohio Wing Commander, served in the United States Air Force for 23 years retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He joined Civil Air Patrol in 1998 and has served as a Squadron and Group Commander, Ohio Wing Vice Commander, and on Wing Staff as Director of Personnel, Air Operations Officer, and Vice Commander of Operations. He is an instrument rated pilot, Cadet Orientation Pilot and mission rated as an Air Operations Branch Director.
Indiana Wing Commander
Colonel Warren (Mark) Reeves
Col Reeves assumed command of Indiana Wing in March 2007 after serving as the Interim Wing Commander for the previous twelve months. He has previously held the position of Wing Director of Operations.
Group V Commander
Lt Col Patrick DeCallier
Lt Col DeCallier has served as Group V Commander since June 2008.
Shelbyville (184th) Composite Squadron Commander
First Lieutenant Robert Vowell
1st Lt Vowell assumed command in November 2008. During the short time he has been in command, the squadron has grown by approx. 140%.
Shelbyville (184th) Composite Squadron Cadet Commander
Cadet 2nd Lieutenant Noah Wullenweber
Cadet Wullenweber assumed this position in January 2008. Since that time he has worked diligently to train young leaders for the squadron. When he is not serving, he is active with his family's bluegrass band and instructing music.
